Work from home, not a new term to come across if you are a ‘Year 2020’ Graduate, right? Well, this is a weird year, and everyone can agree on this thought without a doubt. From going to the office all dressed up to presenting yourself right after waking up to your bosses; from going to school with a packed backpack to dozing off right in front of the whole class virtually, it was one heck of a year. With parents working from home and students studying from home, almost every person knows what work from home means, with due regards to this awesome year.

“Home-work grew-up and became work-from-home.”

It can be a tough time managing all the work at home at still being able to keep your calm in those unholy group calls and meetings. It can be surprisingly tough. A roommate on endless noisy team calls, a child who needs regular guidance on their school assignments, animals on the streets going haywire: they can all be disorienting and exhausting. And yet, not going to the office can unlock new possibilities and help develop a work-life balance.

Many people are working from home due to the COVID situation, and others are more seasoned remote workers, working from another place. Whatever your circumstances, working from home has or is playing a larger role in your lives now than ever. There are some really cool features of working from home. Like-

Everyone likes their own private space, and what can be better for an introvert to be doing all their work at their very favourite place all alone. Well, at home, you are responsible to create an environment suitable for just you, and that is the beauty of working from home.

Maintaining social life -

Scrolling Instagram, and liking posts of your friends; sharing opinions on Twitter, and getting known to a wider audience, working from home has set new records for many people just like you. It’s not a regular practice, but as you have your own space and privacy, no matter what you are working on, there’s no one to question your free time. Using it effectively is what we have been taught in the span of 8–9 months probably. Maintaining social life was just went to another level. One tab open for your work, another tab open just so you can chat with your favourite person. How easy it is now to maintain a social life. Great.

Strengthening relations -

Working from home or anywhere else, maintaining good relations with your family, friends, and relatives is a priority. Well, it was a case to worry about before but not anymore because working from home has provided us with lots of ample time to ask our parents how they’re feeling or ask our grandparents what’s with their life now. If also we are busy with our work, we surely are left with 30 to 40 minutes in our entire day which we can use to contact our loved ones and talk for some good minutes.

We have heard people say they are happy working in their comfort zones and are literally enjoying life virtually.

Health and fitness -

Well, you must have been against this previously, but as the current scenarios tell, staying fit is the topmost priority. With health concerns growing each day, it has been seen that the number of people trying to stay fit has increased, and many have shown interest in home workouts. I bet you are on the same page with the majority of people.

Work from home may seem challenging, but with the right measures taken, it can be as simple as boiling an egg. Good luck with your work and I’m sure you are maintaining your work-life balance.
